DIANA PALMER, MS, ATC, EMT

Diana joined Hayashida and Associates in the spring of 2010.  She served as the Director of Sports Medicine and Head Athletic Trainer at Westmont College for 21 years.  Diana has also served as the Medical Staff Coordinator for the Santa Barbara International Polo Club for 18 years.  She has over 19 years of teaching experience in sports medicine, injury prevention, strength and conditioning, and nutrition.  Diana has been in charge of emergency injury care, rehabilitation program design and strength/conditioning programs for many Olympic teams and professional athletes. During her free time she volunteers time as the medical consultant for the Women’s US Development Cycling Team, and local professional cyclists, and collegiate athletes.

 

Diana received her Master’s Degree from University of Oregon in Health and Exercise Science and her two undergraduate degrees in psychology and Athletic Training/Physical Education from Linfield College in Oregon. She attained her EMT certification through SBCC and her massage certification through Santa Barbara School of Massage.  She has attained additional therapeutic rehabilitation specialties in the Graston Technique, Active Release Therapy (ART), kinesiotaping, and myofascial release.

 

Diana serves as the coordinator of the Athletic Training Outreach Program for Hayashida and Associates as well as seeing private patients for personal training, weight loss, and athletic injury rehabilitation programs.
